TWEEN to TEEN .....

Today my son who made me a mom turned 13 yrs old.  It is hard to believe it has been 13yrs ago today I waited anxiously to deliver my baby who was a week over due and I was big as a house, he arrived very quickly and the best time of life begun.  Today I am so happy to see him turn 13 yrs old and to be happy, healthy and very full of life!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY KY !

Holidays ..... Part Three Christmas !

For some reason Christmas has seemed to sneak up super fast this year !  We had a great Christmas it was really low key we hung out here at home did our traditional 7 am see what Santa brought us, opened up gifts, and had Christmas morning breakfast home made cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole...... I love having family traditions ! Leading up to Christmas we did some of our fun family traditions we made our Christmas candy count downs, baked , made ginger bread houses and went to fantasy lights !

Holidays.... Part two Great Wolf Lodge and Thanksgiving !

We wanted to take a little get away with the kids and pretend we were in a nice sunny warm place so the first weekend in November we took the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge with our long time friends the Vu's .... we had a great time and got to enjoy warm water and 80 degree temps !  For Thanksgiving we are very fortunate and blessed to have great friends to share the holiday with ( not having family close by that is active in our lives having great friends is amazing) We went to the Rigtrups home and had great food, good laughs and most of all a competitive fun dance off !  We have so much to be thankful for and after a year of Bryan starting a new job, me quitting a job to start a new business,  having a healthy kids and lots of love in our home.... I am grateful and I love that we have a holiday to celebrate and show our love for our family and friends and get to reflect on what we are thankful for !

The Holidays.....First up Halloween !

I have 100% slacked on the blogging thing.... We have been super busy since school has started back up. Between the kids, school, homework, activities and starting a new business and keeping up with all of out other commitment's the months have just flown by!


*******Halloween****** This year the weather was great for Halloween, we walked the neighborhood with the little kids,  Our friends the Rigtrups came to trick or treat with us so since they have two big kids and we have two older kids we let the four of them go trick or treat on their own.  Believe it or not the little kids out lasted the big kids! Miley had a field trip with her pre-school to the pumpkin patch. Between Halloween and Thanksgiving we went to the Great Wolf Lodge which is a indoor water park and had a great time with our long time friends the Vu's.
